Principal Davis is Retiring

Mrs. Davis, our wonderful principal for the past 15 years, will be retiring in June.  The district will be holding a meeting with staff, students, parents, and community members to get input on what qualities are most valuable in a new principal.  The meeting will be held in the Back Bay multipurpose room on Tuesday, May 16th, 6:00 p.m. Everyone with an interest in Back Bay/Monte Vista is invited to attend. Parent & Student Volunteers Needed!

Our School Site Council (SSC) needs volunteers to attend four meetings this year. The SSC assists the school administration in decision making with regards to the spending of certain funds, offers input from a different perspective, keeps abreast of current and upcoming events at the school site.


Meetings are from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in our Multipurpose room on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, October 18th, 2016
  • Tuesday, January 17th, 2017
  • Tuesday, March 28th, 2017
  • Tuesday, June 6th, 2017

Students will earn 3 community service hours for attending SSC meetings, and another 3 hours if their parent attends.  If you’d like to volunteer to participate in our four Site Council meetings this year, please call Kelly in the front office at  949-515-3389 or email her at
